Rankin is armed and ready to usher in the revitalization of genuine arena rock, exploiting his own contemporary brand of guitar-fueled pop rock, which is equipped with a sound that falls somewhere between Bon Jovi and the Backstreet Boys.
The songs of Every Part Of Me, Anthony's 2003 independent debut, represent a devotion to molding and refining his craft into that of a national contender. Hook-laden, dynamic guitar pop anthems interspersed with sultry, emotive ballads make this eleven-song album a stunning collection, drenched throughout in ecstatic wanderlust, doubt, faith, and love.
The same faith and love permeate every minute of his exhausting live performances, which are fervently reminiscent of the onstage intensity characterized for decades by Bruce Springsteen, U2, and Prince. Attending one of Rankin's highly acclaimed electric concerts might be what some would call a "religious" experience. On the other end of the spectrum, he is a renowned solo performer who regularly exercises his acoustic finesse for more intimate audiences.
Amid a rigorous performance and rehearsal schedule, as well as intermittent bursts of demanding recording sessions, Rankin anchors a full-time commitment at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh as a Music Technology major. He is currently in his junior year. Even so, Anthony insists he is first and foremost a student of rock and roll.
