Born in Brunei of Chinese parents, Anne Ku spent her childhood on Okinawa, Japan where she received her first piano lesson at age eight. Influenced by her teacher Betsy Hermann, she began to compose at age 14. In 2001, Anne started a programme of intimate concerts in London to introduce her music to local audiences. At the Easter Concerts in Bussum and Hilversum, Netherlands in March 2002, she released her work "In Pursuit of Flexibility" containing 80 minutes of her inspiring piano solo compositions and arrangements.
Known for her intuitive sightreading ability, Anne has performed in the Netherlands as a special guest of the Dutch guitar and violin Duo Magenta, and also with her piano guitar duo in North Cyprus, the Netherlands, and London. She was pianist-in-residence at the Renaissance Hotel Heathrow in 2002-2003. Since age 16, she has played the piano and the organ and directed the music programme at weddings in Okinawa, California, the Netherlands, England, and Ireland.
Anne founded the international website analyticalQ.com, platform for self-expression in March 1999 which contains her online diary Le Bon Journal. Proceeds from her CD sales help support herself in Utrecht, Netherlands, where she has studied under Willy Muller-van Doorn.
