The Church he grew up in was filled with 80% family members and, most sang in the choir, so it seemed like the logical place for Buddy to start his chops. At family gatherings his parents and other family members woould drag a reluctant Buddy from playing with his cousins to sing and dance for the family. Mostly folk songs and dances. Buddys' love of rock and Roll started at a very early age just like most people involved in R&R. Listening to the radio and the gathering of 45s by The Beatles, Stones, and other top 40 groups of the 60s and 70s. Buddys interest in the Blues began with two occurances. One, he and his family were vacationing in Huntington Beach and a Poster attached to a telephone poll caught Buddys eye. It read "Girls Go Wild!" and had pictures of 4 of the most interesting guys he'd ever seen. That night he and his older brother walked over to the Golden Bear to see what this was all about. Playing that night was The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Buddy and his brother may have been too young to get in but, the thin ratty door just behind the stage gave a good enough ear full and peek, at the late Keith Ferguson getting' down on that bottom end. Two, Buddy and his brother helped an Uncle clean out a rental property. Left behind were thousands of Lps, 45s and 78s of everything imagineable. The 78 that caught Buddys attention was one "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean" by Sam "Lightnin'" Hopkins. BUDDY WAS SOLD!! In subsequent years his brother stepped on the 78 in a spat over who knows what but the long affair with the blues began. Buddy also started hanging out in the clubs of Hollywood like The Starwood, The Whiskey, Club 88, The Troubador and others that came and went seeing bands like The Plimsouls, X, The Blasters, Naughty Sweeties, James Harmon etc. The fusion of blues and high energy Rock (Or punk) just began to grasp Buddy with a passion. After College and wrapping up a professional degree, Buddy persued his music with a fierce drive. Buddy began cutting his teeth at blues clubs all over LA. Allways playing with people at a much higher level then himself which allways made him play better and learn more. Buddy cut his teeth with people like Pedro Wyant, Ch
