"Eleven Eyes' sound is funk updated for 2003...DJ scratching prominently over a laid-back, often Latin, groove...Electronics drop in more often than not and horns are given the occasional dub treatment, to atmospheric effect. The only thing left unaccounted for is further explanation of that band name." -Arts & Entertainment, The Oregonian
"Eleven Eyes builds a towering inferno of intermeshing licks of flame . . . they provide enough pulse to accelerate the beating of hearts, and yet enough disparate layers to give brains a nitro boost." -The Entertainer, Corvallis Gazette Times
"Eleven Eyes is a fresh new sound of funk, jazz, and hip-hop." -Arts &Entertainment, The LBCC Commuter
"Just to see the six-piece on stage is wonderous enough. But to hear the music flow out of them . . . you canĂ¢??t help but stop, listen and groove." -A&E Calendar, The OSU Daily Barometer
Eleven Eyes is a 6-piece instrumental band that draws on a wide range of influences from the innovative fusion of Herbie Hancock (whose composition "Maiden Voyage" appears, in a drum 'n bass arrangement) and Miles Davis to the instrumental hip hop of artists like DJ Shadow, DJ Spooky and DJ Logic, to electronic artists such as Amon Tobin and Squarepusher.
Based in Eugene, Oregon, Eleven Eyes performs regularly around the Northwest. Depth Perception is their first CD.
