The long-awaited followup to Emmaline's Inviolate CD has finally arrived, and it's a great mix of wonderfully re-worked live show staples along with brand new studio tracks. Once again the focus is on Emmaline's strong, sexy vocals with the songs being a great mix of groove-heavy pop, rock, and a couple of sweet surprises.

On this great new batch of songs, Emmaline expands and refines her soulful approach to electro pop/rock. Just a Cherry finds Emmaline exploring some new territory musically and lyrically, while keeping her exceptional vocals front and center and maintaining her dedication to the groove.

She has been compared to Annie Lennox, Fiona Apple, and Nikka Costa, and while her distinctive voice certainly lives up to these comparisons Emmaline has a style that is distinctly her own.

Her intelligent, groove-infused modern pop has gained the attention of labels and management companies in the states and elsewhere. The song "Let 'Em In" from Just a Cherry is included on a UK compilation called The Greatest Music You've Never Heard, Vol. 2. She was also a finalist in an unsigned band competition hosted by Maverick Records.
Emmaline and her band played live regionally from 2001 into 2003 and she will begin playing live in support of Just a Cherry in 2006.
