In 1997, Gruvis Malt was introduced to the world opening for Huey Lewis and The News in 48 markets worldwide. When things with Huey took a turn for the worst, GM started writing whole albums about the falling out, and sending them to Huey's ex-girlfriends. This brought them more notoriety and critical acclaim given that most of the world was relieved to have their disdain for Lewis and his News verbalized so proficiently by a rock band. Soon the band had released 7 albums mocking Huey Lewis and His News, and the world was bored with them. So they did some crap called Futurock.
