I-4 Band has proceeded through the local music scene capturing and enticing their audience with musical expressions so familiar, yet so new. It took a mere amount of time for local fans and industry professionals alike to realize they had a band before them worthy of stardom. After winning local radio station WXXL, XL106.7's search for a local band to put In The Spotlight, they've found the spotlight is something they're just not ready to let go of; as if they had a choice. Their excitement and stamina on stage combined with their driving edge and heartfelt harmonies have led to requests for performances not only in their immediate area but across the country as well.
Having spent most of their lives together in Melbourne, Florida, Nathan Pedersen and Caleb Mundy were first on Scott Brazdo's mind when it came to forming I-4. "Caleb is a bass guru, and honestly one of the most amazing bassists I've ever played with. Nathan is an awesome drummer, and he and I have this unspoken musical chemistry," says Brazdo. Brent Turner's addition as back-up vocalist came after Brazdo heard him perform at a local coffee shop while attending Deland's Stetson University.
When auditioning for additional members I-4 knew the musicians needed to complete their sound had to be as unique and talented as those already in place. They found these qualities in electric guitarist Ben Johnson and violinist Jared Burnett. The spirited energy and exuberant personalities of I-4 embrace their audience and bring them up onto the stage, making them an additional member; they are the ones who truly complete this band.
The six members of I-4 each bring an array of musical talent to the band, which generates into an eclectic edge found in no other band today. I-4's vibrant, evocative acoustic rock sound intertwines with lyrics filled with emotional honesty and maturity to showcase a sound both unique and refreshing. It's this very sound they've transferred onto their debut album. "I-4 hate the road, love the band" showcases the songs of insightful young singer/songwriter Scott Brazdo.
