Her voice is both soulful and angelic; her original tunes are decidedly pop, yet informed by the soul tradition. However there are also other currents running deeper throughout her music: a Native American born in Okemah, Oklahoma, Jamie’s songs have a spiritual, wide open feel that flows naturally. The result is one of the freshest sounding singers to come along in awhile.
Recently, Jamie’s music has been enjoying an increasingly wide audience. Several of her songs appeared on the soundtrack of the films Gone, But Not Forgotten and Virtuality, and the band is currently recording tracks for the upcoming film Long Term Relationship. She has just signed an agreement with Riptide Music, a company placing music in major TV shows and film. And perhaps most rewardingly, she was just nominated for Best Female Artist in the First Annual Southern California Music Awards. As Paul Deppeler of IROK Radio said in his 5-star review of Everything So Far, “she is well on her way to making a lasting impact on the music scene and a long and successful career.”
