With his incredible sense of rhythm and melody, Jason was immediately creating unique music, which would become his signature.
i absolutely can't stand categorizing my own material. i simply write whatever's on my mind at work. i look at music like a large display or variety of ice cream flavors
they're all special.
It's easy to understand the diversity and structure of his music when you look at the musical influences that have touched him over the course of his career. Guitarists like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Hendrix, and Randy Rhodes, along with the musical works of Elton John, Bad Brains, and Jane's Addiction, have all provided Jason with guidance and inspiration to strive for individuality and not limit oneself.
Originally self taught jason wouls seek professional guidance in such genres as blues, jazz, rock and even classical guitar courtesy of GREG DINGER and also from guitar co-partner from LunchMeat, KEN MCGLOIN.
His diverse background and adaptability has allowed Jason to log numerous hours as a studio session musician, but his biggest was yet to come. his performances onstage had him morphed into a local legend. like Talon, The Guild, Dixie Rockets, Perfect Thyroid, Scratch Baxter, The Reptiles, Johnny Most Project, Chris Max, PEACEBOMB, Taylor Made, Outloud Dreamer, THREE, LUNCH MEAT, Paxton and currently, his newly self-titled band jASON fOSTER.
He has also performed on stage with the likes of LENNY KRAVITZ, and MATT CHAMBERLIN.(Pearl Jam, EDIE BRICKELL & the new Bohemians, the Wallflowers)one of his favorite moments was doing a half/hr wdst online radio with rock legend JOEY RAMONE.
