Spoken word /performing artist/ yogi, JEN/ed has been creating socio-political work since 1999. She is the founder of JEN/ed productions: an alternative to gen(eral) ed(ucation), a performing and teaching initiative to return SELF-awareness to the forefront of our daily lives.
Author of ‘exposed’ (CD, 05) and ‘Truth Telling’ (book, 06) Jen’s work has been featured in: Velvet Park magazine, Queer Ramblings, After Ellen and on NTG Radio, Vegan Radio, and OUTFM. She has toured the US and Canada, performing in colleges, events and festivals and including Girlfest Hawaii, Mamapalooza, Queerstock and Pride in the Arts Festival.
Her new collaborative theater piece ‘The BOTTOM LINE: Sex Politics and Masturbation’ will be shown at the Fresh Fruit Festival this summer in NYC.
‘One-Breasted President’, a track on ‘exposed’, is featured on the ’06 Indy Music for Life Compilation' and recently received a Stone Wall Society Theme award.
