This is an artist with definite leanings towards Brazilian & Jazz - but don't pigeon-hole Jennifer Scott!
As comfortable singing Pop and Blues as she is singing improvisational Jazz, Jennifer Scott always makes a performance her very own.

This CD "Emotional Girl" is a collection of arrangements and original tunes by Jennifer. All have been carefully selected to express a wide range of emotions and 'feels'.
Included are two Joni Mitchell compositions ('Free Man..' and 'You Dream Flat Tires') done in the unique Jennifer Scott fashion - but joyously celebrating her love for Ms Mitchell's music and lyrics.
'I Will Not Waste Another Day', an uplifting original song by Jennifer, is dedicated to her cousin, Darlene and her sister-in-law, Adele - both who passed away this past year.
'Sister Sutherland' is a happy collaboration with Jennifer's bassist/producer/husband, Rene Worst.
For those who have enjoyed Jennifer's previous recordings, this is not a total departure from her love of standards and improvisational Jazz. 'Once I Loved' written by A.C. Jobin and 'So Tender' by Keith Jarrett illustrate Jennifer's deep understanding of music and voice.
After listening to 'She's Leaving Home' (Lennon/McCartney) and 'Real Emotional Girl' (Randy Newman) during the recording session, the band and production team were all moved to tears.
In the words of great Canadian musician/composer and professor of music Hugh Fraser: "Jennifer Scott is truly one of the most gifted musicians i have had the pleasure of experiencing both as a performer and listener. The beauty of her vocal and pianistic talents are deeply enhanced by the incredible depth of intuitive and studied musicianship. She is a beautiful contributor to the beautiful world of music. I know you will enjoy - "
