He is a three-time finalist in the New Folk songwriting competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival (TX) and his song "We Are All Connected", took the Grand Prize in the 2002 Great American Song contest.
2001 saw the release of his CD, "Closer To The Surface": twelve songs of love, life, insanity and natural disasters. This eclectic collection is composed of original and inspired performances, with wry and compassionate lyrics that express the beauty, the terror and the wonder of being alive.
