Thanks is a tribute to legend guitarists Howard Roberts, Joe Pass, and Chet Atkins. Out of Towner is a humorous and harmonically challenging bebop tune, written about visiting relatives, and I Dig Snow is a folk song with jazz overtones, written about Colorado snow.
The core trio features Kevin Karrick on guitars, Jesse Lucas on 6-string, fretless bass and Colorado drummer, Mark Raynes. Byron Hamer, another Colorado veteran, adds Saxophone and Flute to three of the tunes, while pianist Mark Sloniker adds his recording experience and trademark expressiveness to another three.
