Avant-garde and improvisational guitarist, Krispen Hartung plays the acoustic guitar with conviction and professionalism based on 25 years of music performance background, but he adds a twist to his playing with various computer-based and tone altering effects, and real-time looping technology. The result is a tapestry of intertwined and multiple-layer guitar parts. In short, Krispen has figured out how to clone himself on stage.
Vincent Miresse accompanies Hartung's intriguing melodies and soundscapes with the didjeridu, down-to-earth rhythms, and free flowing percussion. Together, these two artists produce free and unrestrained improvised music that is truly unique and compelling to the ear. Now, Hartung and Miresse's most recent CD, "Live at the Kulture Klatsch," is receiving rave reviews from peers and listeners from all over the world, as well as making its way into the playlists of internet radio stations across the country.
"Live at the Kulture Klatsch" was recorded live at the Kulture Klatsch on December 2, 2004 and March 3, 2005 at Boise, Idaho. All songs were spontaneously composed and improvised on the spot using real-time looping technology (guitar) and world percussion.
