On November 19, 2005, we, Kristen Scanlon and Lawrence J. Clark, were married, united as Husband and Wife under the blessing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And it was a blessed event, indeed!

Ours is a faith based on the confidence in a very specific promise - the promise of eternal life provided through the sacrifice and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. But included in that promise is also the gift of abundant life, and it is within the gift of abundant life that we feel privileged to share with you our story of love, and hope, and God's amazing grace.
In September of 2004, God began the answer to a very special prayer, a prayer shared by two individuals. This November, God completed the answer to this special prayer and unite us in marriage.
This event marks not only our union as husband and wife, but also the union of two serving hearts - with complementary gifts and talents for the purpose of ministry - as we attempt to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given us, the task of testifying to the gospel of Gods grace (Acts 20:24).
And so, it is with great joy that we celebrate the blessing of our love (as provided for by God's giving hand), and for the joining of our lives (as found within the riches of His Grace). And it is with much humility that we share with you the reason for the hope we have as a result of our relationship with Jesus Christ.
God had instilled in both of our hearts the desire for love and companionship, and in our journey we both faced heartache and loss as we attempted to fulfill this love with others; God eventually helped us to trust in His good and perfect plan, with the faith and knowledge that He had something different in mind for us. Ours is the story of struggle, and then surrender as we agreed to trust in His Perfect Plan, finding contentment in our singleness and confidence in our relationship with Him. And finally, ours is the story about God's gift to us - each other - and His ability and desire to provide for our wants and our needs.
