A geologist with a Masters Degree and Teaching Certificate, she teaches all manner of college earth and space sciences, and works for the Astrobiology Program at UW. However, she is at heart, a musician, playing mostly eclectic strings and percussion. Her harp music is for hospital and hospice patients, funerals, weddings, private parties, church services, and random celebrations of beauty. Linda's first harp CD, "Transition", was released in December 2001, and her second, "Full Hearts, Empty Mind" was released December 2003. She was a founding member (playing harps, percussion, tamboura, and douzongoni) of the World Meditation Ensemble in Seattle. WME's first CD, "Sacred Fusion", is now available on CD Baby. Recent musical adventures include trio and duet improvisations with Japanese kotos, and with West African koras. Other passionate activities include poetry, drawing and painting, dance, organic gardening, and travels in Mexico. And her three incandescently beautiful daughters are the loves of her life.
