Marisol is a singer with a career that started as a gifted child in her country town of Andabamba - in The Andes Mountain region - with songs composed and play by her father, a beloved school teacher. She was the pride of her country fellows and sung in other places like Cajamarca and Chiclayo, important cities north of Lima, the Capital of Peru.
She eventually moved to Lima to participate in different bands and styles (i.e., Pop, Cumbia and Big Band). Marisol has also appeared on television and toured nationwide. In one of her TV appearances, she met Ruth, who was also present with her original band.
Ruth is actually one of the best guitar players in Peru, training and playing for the past 15 years. As a founding member of the all female ensemble "Las Chicas Daya" , she has played and recorded for different recording Peruvian artists (Jose Luis MadueƱo, Julio Andrade, Antologia, etc). With Las Chicas Daya, she has toured the entire country and was often invited to perform on TV and Radio. She has also performed with the INKAMERICA group for three months in Japan. But during all this time, she was actively looking for a way to showcase her strong and beautiful playing coupled with her experienced composing and arranging skills. When Marisol came alone she found the voice and the solution...
