Several radios in New York City area have choosen songs from Robi's last cd "DO YOU KNOW?" after Bob Putignano, president of NY blues & jazz society, start trasmitting Robi's music from his program "Sounds of Blue"
At this time more than 90 radio stations all around the States are broadcasting songs from "DO YOU KNOW?"
The album recieved airplay at: WUCF,WCNI,WQLN,KYNR,WMPG,
WZEW,KLPZ,KMGN,KZIQ,KMET,KSTR,WKSX,KIND,WHAY,KKGB,WJDF,
WFAT,KRXL,KZPR,WKTX,KBDN,WUZI,WJES,WKVL,WMVA,KPND,WAUH,
WIUJ,KGUM,CKCK.... and so on, too long to write the complete list of the radio stations broadcasting songs from "DO YOU KNOW?"
The same is happening in these days in Europe. In particular the N1 blues radio in Amsterdam "BLUE EARS" choose 8 songs from his album for his high rotation music http://www.blueears.com/
My real goal is to play the music I feel. I do not try to play like the great black masters did, I do not try to play the tradition, I do not try to play a new kind of blues, I do not try to recuperate sounds from the past or something...... I just sit down, write the songs playing in my head, and then stand up and play it with my band . That's it!
