the Narcissist is Rory's debut album, recorded and mixed between Juneau, AK and Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. It's cold music with a warm heart, Tori Amos meets Oingo Boingo, or perhaps 80's synth pop in a Victorian music salon. Abrupt melodies and insistent piano riffs frame the supple and focused vocals. Born and raised in Alaska, Rory is part of the reemerging trend of music school dropouts turned singer/songwriters. Rory has performed around the country and Canada frequently for the last 6 years refining his performance and style. He's worked extensively with world renowned Perseverance Theater as actor, musical director and sound designer. A live solo piano album is in the works to bring his renowned performances to a larger audience.
