God gave me my guitar, and through it, I have put sunshine into my life and others.
I wrote this song about a break-up and suddenly realized that my music was important to me. I packed my bags and headed for Nashville. I recorded my first song, "Dear Old Guitar" at OMNIsound Studios, Nashville, TN (Thanks to the great session player guys at OMNIsound). I sang this song in a music festival and a clip from the performance was featured on CMT.
I was given the opportunity to compete in a Nashville Star Search Showcase in 2005 and participated in the Nashville School of Music hosted by George McClure of McClure and Trowbridge Publishing. I was offered a gospel recording contract by a Nashville producer. I believe in Gods miracles.
The songs I write are "Christian Country", "Country" and "Country Pop" allowing me to cross genres. My song style, I am told, is soothing and uplifting. It appeals to seniors, adults, teenagers, and young children which allows me to cross over the generation gaps.
If my songs can lift a weary heart out of the darkness of this world, then I know I have accomplished my mission that God placed upon my soul.
