For those of you geographically challenged that's in the dead center in the state. The group met when the members worked with one another on theatrical productions, and we have been going strong even after the productions were over.
As an acoustic group-we play more than 20 instruments specializing in guitar, mandolin and viola. With folk lyrics, and pop rhythms, we prefer to sing songs that are poetic, and mostly refer to nature and the sea. You can hear Sirens Song on Celticrock.net, worldmusicwebcast.com, the Prairie Ceilidh show on CKJS 810 A.M. (Manitoba Canada), the Local Yokels radio show and Renradio.com. Sirens' Song also released "Starlight and Shadow" in May 2004, offering the same signature harmonies with new all-original music . Sirens' Song partnered with "Last Chance Forever Bird Conservancy" to write a song in tribute of falcons and falconry. With this partnership, the band received a national grant to help fund the new cd, with a portion of the profit proceeds benefiting a conservancy that helps rehabilitate injured birds of prey.

Here's some info about us as individuals and how we work in the group.

Don't be fooled by Rikie's looks, she is smart as a whip and extremely organized. If she sets out to do something, it gets done. Rikie keeps us on track and makes us really WORK in rehearsals. Rikie is married to Bob, is several months away from being a stay home mom. (she is pregnant and will give birth in September to a little girl) Rikie also plays several instruments, including flute, guitar and mandolin, and is great at arranging music. She is the one up in the stratosphere...a strong high soprano that is great with harmonies and weaving parts. She has taught acting and improv for a perf
