Sirocco are a versatile three part harmony sister group from the beautiful rolling hills of Co. Kerry Ireland. Having performed for many summers in the National Folk Theatre of Ireland, the girls gained a love of their Irish music and folklore. "Black is the Color" is inspired by the love the girls have for their native land and traditions. It is a haunting album beautifully orchestrated with also many up tempo and contemporary beats to traditional songs. "Sally Gardens" and " Will You Go Lassie Go" are traditional Irish ballads but with a new twist, where as Danny Boy has the big ballad feel. It is an album with a difference sung by three voices with one unique sound as only siblings can manage. Sirocco recorded "Black is the Color" in February 2005 and were then invited to sing for Governor Pataki at the Waldorf Astoria for St. Patricks' Day where they were well received. The sisters Fiona (19) Naomi (17) and Evangeline (15) as well as singers and performers, are songwriters at heart. They are currently working on their original album in the U.S. and are currently working with the producer of the Fugees Don Guillaume. Their image and new identity are DEFY*. You can see updates of them on www.myspace.com/defyallmusic their new genre is R&B/soul/pop. With their unique harmonies R&B never sounded so good! Watch this space! Watch out WORLD!
