Sons of the Delta are two of the top bluesmen in the SouthWest UK - Mark Cole (Maxwell Street Blues Band, the Dockery Boys) and Rick Edwards (the Blueshounds, Hocus Pocus Blues). Between them they have nearly 50 years experience of playing the blues both in Europe and the USA and have played with or opened for many blues greats including Pinetop Perkins, Sam Carr, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Eddie C. Campbell, Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup, Kent DuChaine, Alvin Lee, Dr. Feelgood, Paul Lamb & Connie Lush.
This album was recorded at Delta Recording, the studio of former Squirrel Nut Zipper Jimbo Mathus, in downtown Clarksdale Mississippi and in the Crossroads Shack of the Shackup Inn, Hopson Plantation, Clarksdale MS. It features guest appearances by blues legends Pinetop Perkins and Sam Carr plus Clarksdale guitar ace 'Big T' Williams. The rhyhthm section is the wonderful team of Eric 'Bassfingers' Lanier on bass and Jeff 'drummerboy' Hayes on drums.
