Stavia's music is hard to pigeon hole, being lyrically engaging and thought provoking whilst melodically and musically it is an eclectic mix ranging from folk-influenced guitar and piano songs to catchy pop and more raunchy rock songs. The sad but un-sentimental 'Listen' - the last song on the album - constrasts with the up-beat feel-good pop tones of 'You Make Me Feel' whilst the rocky 'Dangerous' - about being led astray - provides enough variety to keep you entertained for a long while.
Stavia plays piano, guitar and harmonica and has a 4 piece band - Grant jamieson on lead guitar, Andy Coughlan on bass, Rob Fergus Smith on drums. And for more info on this singer-songwriter's unusual background, check out her website.
