For years, Pup has aggressively forged a new territory in 21st Century American music, overdubbing unusual sounds over enticing beats and melodies. The bottom line: we make music we like to hear. Pup's latest release, Yars Revenge, is the perfect intro-point for the "N00b", as any of their recent albums have been; there's something for everyone. Don't mistake them for yet another crop of preening trust-fund twerps with too much time, fancy equipment and esoteric attitude on their hands... Pup is no gimmick-brigade, but a group of guys genuinely eager to show you something new and exciting. Elements of hip-hop, rock and even old-school video-game tunes combine to form what will please even the most world-weary Contrarian prick.
