Tim Harrington Band was born of an earnest love of the art and craft of music, and continues to mature and transform both personally and professionally. Drawing from such diverse influences as Kansas, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Dream Theater, Heart, and Rush, the group skillfully and energetically weaves a stylistic tapestry of tasteful tones gleaned from numerous genres, including Rock, Jazz, Pop, Latin, and Reggae. Thoughtful, evocative lyrics intertwine with complex, artful rhythms and memorable melodic passages to paint a musical mural of sonic subtleties with every dynamic, heartfelt performance.
THB's songs are snapshots of everyday life, taken from common experiences. Each composition is a musical journey, layered with insight and messages of growth, self-discovery, encouragement and triumph over adversity. Cleverly camouflaged within each catchy song are treasures of rhythmic and melodic musicality, waiting to be discovered among the agile interplay of instrumentation and vocals.
Though the tone of THB's music has been described by some as "dark" (perhaps the result of the experiences from whence the music comes), the overall message is one of hope, redemption and fulfillment, brought about through the power of the human spirit. Music, like life, with all its imperfections, is meant to be experienced, enjoyed, celebrated and reflected upon. The Tim Harrington Band is the perfect catalyst for just such a monumental task. THB makes "Real music for real people."
