To do this, TJR immersed himself in both playing and listening to the music of the pioneers of Rock (Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran), and Blues (BB King, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker), before writing the songs for his debut album: Rip Roarin' Rock 'n' Roll
The result is a mix of cooler than thou vocals reminiscent of Elvis and Chris Issac, Bryan Setzer style guitar rhythms, Throw in a touch Eddie Van Halen / Johnny Lang Fretwork and toss in some Eric Clapton and Cream style Rockin' Blues and you have a big cup of Rock'n' Roll Revival.
