Moblogging's just mobile blogging; your blog is your online journal where you can write text and put up pictures. Moblogging lets you post text, pictures, and even video right from your cell phone. For bands and fans, it's like having your own personal reality TV show... without the annoying scripted conflict, at least.
So, when inspiration strikes, you can post your blogs from wherever you're at. See a cool building? Moblog a picture. Think up something profound on your subway ride? Moblog it. Your buddy just figure out he can balance a full bottle on his head, then jump and catch it behind his back? Moblog the video (well, assuming he can do it again. I've got 5 bucks that he can't.) Your GroupieTunes blog - and your moblog - are your own personal canvas to fill up with stuff.
Moblogging's easier than baking a cake, except for that "just-add-water" voodoo:
For pictures or video:
1.) Sign up for your free GroupieTunes fan account, or an artist account.
2.) Take a picture or MMS video on your phone. (For video, the less you wave the camera around, the higher the quality you'll get.)
3.) Depending on your phone, there should be an option to Store what you just snagged or Send in message. Protip: You wanna Send it in an MMS message.
4.) In the Subject area of the message, write a snazzy title. On some phones, this is under Message Options.
5.) The address you should send your stuff to is mb@groupietunes.com . MB is MoBlog. Or Macaroni Bolognese. Whatever helps you remember.
6.) Send it!
7.) Tell all of your friends that you've just put up a moblog!
For text, it's pretty much the same, except instead of sending a picture or video, you type a text message to mb@groupietunes.com with your text (like, for instance, "I'm wearing clean socks today. It's a good day.")
Because you've told us your phone number, we sort it out and put it right on your GroupieTunes blog page. Have fun and tell your friends to sign up for their own account so that they can be as cool as you are, too. Though you and I both know that'll never happen, you're always #1 in my book, man.
Don't forget you can do standard blogging from the blogging area of your My Account section.
Psst, T-Mobile customers: If you can't send a text to an email address you'll probably wanna read this page on T-Mobile.com on T-Mobile.com to tell you how you can send us your moblogs.
