PRIVACY POLICY

Because we have to collect personal information about you to use our service, we want to assure you your information is safe. GroupieTunes will never resell or pass along personally identifiable information to any third parties, with the exception of your wireless carrier for billing purposes or any contractors that GroupieTunes may work with in the future for services such as customer service, delivery, etc. No spammers. No advertising companies. No people that want to e-mail you personal offers tailored to your demographic. We get the same spam mail here too, and we hate it just as much.

GroupieTunes Customer Service will NEVER ask you for your password. This is important in preventing phishing and so-called “social hacking” so it bears repeating: Again, GroupieTunes Customer Service will NEVER ask you for your password. Your passwords are stored encrypted and hashed in our database, as is your secret question answer. Because of this, if you forget your password and your secret answer, we cannot recover your password. In this case we have to generate a new random password for you.

If you use any services requiring a credit card, GroupieTunes only stores the last 4 digits of your credit card number for auditing purposes. We toss the rest after transactions are verified.

Your Social Security or Federal Tax ID numbers are also encrypted in our database.

3. Privacy
You acknowledge that Company may collect and process “personal information”(i.e. information that could be used to contact you, such as full name, postal address, phone number or e-mail address), “financial information” (i.e. credit card numbers, bank account information or passwords) or “demographic and usage information” (i.e. information that you submit, or that we collect, that is neither personal information nor financial information but necessary for the proper functioning and billing of our service, such as the date regarding the start and end and the extent of your usage of the service), in connection with the Service. We may pass on your personal information, financial information and or demographic and usage information to your mobile phone service provider to secure collection of fees and such information collected by Company may be stored and processed in any other country in which Company or its agents maintain facilities. By using the Service, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country. Your personal information, financial information and demographic information will be deleted no later than six months after termination of your subscription. Company may store your information beyond this date if that is required by law or contract.
